Louisville League of Mascots

The Louisville League of Mascots is a service network of professional mascots from businesses, universities, teams and organizations within the Possibility City area. To the best of our knowledge, the Louisville League of Mascots is the FIRST such network of its kind in the country!

The League offers complimentary consultations to schools and non-profit organizations. The goal is to provide an easy, organized method for PTA volunteers and non-profit event coordinators to contact and make arrangements with multiple Louisville area mascots.

Currently over 50 mascots registered into the League including Louie the Cardinal Bird (University of Louisville), Buddy Bat (Louis- ville Bats Baseball), Tapper (Louisville Water Company), Tundra the Polar Bear (Louisville Zoo), Ricky Rhino (Citiview Louisville), Abilities the Tiger (DADS Appreciating Down Syndrome of Kentuckiana), and Max-A-Million (Children’s Hospital Foundation).

A few of the organizations, which the League has assisted include the American Heart Association, JDRF, Ancient Order of Hibernians, East Area Community Ministries, The Mommy Nest, Children’s Hospital Foundation, Kosair Children’s Hospital, The Dream Factory of Louisville and the American Red Cross. The League has assisted several educational institutions as well.

Because of the League’s committment to Louisville spirit of volunteerism, Mayor Greg Fischer proclaimed March 22 annually to be Louisville League of Mascots Day! This diversity of mascots, and the mascot sponsors, is an example of how Louisvillehas again come together to assist schools and organizations to achieve their goals in a light-hearted, entertaining, family manner.
